Welcome to CHristian AuthoRISmyrna!

Charis, in the Greek and Hebrew biblical term Charis (χάρις), refers to good will, loving-kindness, favor, in particular to God’s merciful grace. It is used over 140 times in the New Testament.”

We’re happy that you’re interested in joining our family of faith-filled writers for Christ. Like all good families, we have quirky to calm, the crazy aunt, the fun sister, and the wise grandpa. If you are a bit different, a believer in Jesus Christ, and a writer/an author then you might just love the edification and support of this group!

Our meetings include:

Lessons on what works from authors who are published, hybrid, traditional, and/or Indie.
Study workshop materials and industry books together
Critique – both in the main group (2 submissions of 1k words per meeting) & within our smaller break out groups (unlimited)
Break bread, fellowship, and pray the second Saturday of each month
As a group, we also participate in local events where our authors are featured and can sell their books.
Celebrate launches and milestones
Discover and enter contests
A dedicated Discord and Facebook Group where we can share and update one another
A member’s only CHARIS CONNECTIONS document
A monthly email with tips, tricks, updates, what we’re studying, and upcoming contests/events, and info on our next meeting

Group Scriptures:

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Psalm 25:4-5

“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”

Galatians 6:9

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

Psalm 19:14
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
